03 / The practice

“Not a finish line. A way of paying attention.”

Sitting with
1,000 songs.

I’m following songs wherever they lead—through demos, finished records, collaborations, quiet piano rooms, and experiments that may never need a name. This is the home for that journey.

04 / This moment

Music has always been
the through-line.

I grew up between rural South Carolina and Appalachia, where music was part of everyday life. I’m related to the Carter Family and the Stanley Brothers, so storytelling through sound runs deep in me.

I’m Randy Bryan Moore—a musician, audio producer, licensed social worker, and storyteller rooted in Richmond. My clinical social-work training shapes the studio: close listening, clear boundaries, consent, and respect for the whole person in the room.

I build trauma-informed, high-trust creative spaces where artists, podcasters, and community storytellers can take risks without losing themselves. The goal is polished work that still sounds human—and a process that leaves people feeling heard.

Whether I’m performing live, producing a record, engineering a podcast, or leading a workshop, I bring the same intention: meet people where they are and help them tell the truth of the thing. Music as a Language. Advocacy as a Practice.

Make room for
the real thing.

Bring the song, conversation, rough demo, or half-formed idea. We’ll shape a calm, clear process around it—from capture and session organization through mix decisions and final delivery.

My approach combines technical precision with the listening skills of clinical social work: shared expectations, honest feedback, and enough trust for the work to become more fully itself.
